Richard Marchant is graduated from two first-class French engineering schools Ecole Polytechnique (X97) and Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Technique Avancées (ENSTA 2002), and from the business school INSEAD.
Richard started his career as a Supply Chain Manager, first for the stainless steel manufacturer Ugine & Alz (now Aperam) and then for the Luxury Products division of the cosmetics company L’Oréal.
He then joined Vallourec, worldwide manufacturer of tubes & pipes, as a corporate controller, where among his missions, he was specifically in charge of major merger & acquisition projects in the US and in Middle East. He was then during ten years Managing Director for several business units within Vallourec with a strong worldwide exposure. Based in France, in Germany and also in Dubai, he successfully integrated newly acquired companies. Richard developed a strong expertise in company transformation and turnaround, based on client satisfaction and Innovation.
Richard joined Chargeurs in 2017, leading the new business unit Chargeurs Specialty Machines he participated to build. He also led the Novacel facility in Deville les Rouen. He was appointed Managing Director of Novacel & COO of Chargeurs Protective Films early 2020. He is now Chief Executive Officer of Chargeurs Protective Films (Sales of €300M, 18 facilities worldwide, 800 employees) and member of the Chargeurs executive committee of Chargeurs, reporting to the CEO of Chargeurs.
